Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Cost Estimator to support a large-scale, complex construction management program. Experience in rail transit projects is highly desirable.

This is a long-term, full-time, on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed project and construction estimates, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage cost escalation, magnitude assessments, material costs, labor rates, and more.
  • Act as a liaison for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring transparent communication regarding project developments, challenges, and solutions.
  • Deliver regular updates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients, outlining project progress, achievements, and potential obstacles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Over 10 years of progressively responsible experience in cost analysis and estimation for design and construction projects.
  • Proficient in applying project controls, including scheduling, costing, estimating, and reporting in engineering and construction contexts.
  • Deep understanding of the engineering and architecture sectors, with the ability to assess cost and schedule impacts on detailed project estimates.
  • Extensive experience with cost escalation, magnitude assessments, material costs, labor rates, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and techniques, particularly in heavy civil rail projects.
  • Familiarity with project management practices and standards, as well as industry forecasts and economic indicators.
  • Ability to conduct detailed data analyses and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating with government agencies and navigating their processes.
  • Proficient in industry-standard estimating software, such as Bluebeam, Primavera, RSMeans, etc.
  • Competent in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
