Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled and driven Senior Cost Estimator to contribute to a large-scale, complex construction management program. Experience in rail transit projects is highly desirable.

This role is a long-term, full-time position requiring on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed project and construction estimates, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage cost escalations, material costs, labor rates, and other financial metrics.
  • Act as a liaison for clients, ensuring effective communication regarding project status, challenges, and solutions.
  • Deliver regular updates to stakeholders, including senior management, on project progress and potential obstacles.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in cost analysis and estimation for design and construction projects.
  • Proficient in project controls, including scheduling, estimating, and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of the engineering and construction industry, particularly in analyzing cost and schedule impacts.
  • Extensive experience with cost escalation, material costs, and labor rates.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials, especially in heavy civil rail projects.
  • Familiarity with project management practices and industry standards.
  • Ability to conduct detailed data analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience working with governmental agencies and understanding their processes.
  • Proficient in industry-standard estimating software and Microsoft 365 applications.
