We are currently seeking a skilled field audio-video engineer to enhance our growth and reputation.

This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and requires active participation as a key member of the Engineering Team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, repair, and testing of equipment and systems in field installations.
  • Evaluate contractual obligations, customer requirements, design modifications, and other data to strategize and develop program activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and execute the design, testing, and installation of equipment and systems in field settings.
  • Collaborate with control system programmers to finalize graphical user interfaces and control system programming.
  • Create Digital Signal Processing (DSP) files for audio-visual systems.
  • Load firmware, device software, control code, and configure systems.
  • Conduct tests to assess hazards and ensure system performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive AV engineering packages, including specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for clients.
  • Facilitate planning and coordination of work activities and training for technical staff.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design tools such as AutoCAD and Bluebeam for engineering tasks.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to resolve issues and achieve performance and financial goals.
  • Lead or coordinate complex task/project teams of in-house or onsite technical personnel.
  • Implement quality AV technology solutions to ensure effective and economical support for products, systems, or equipment.
  • Engage in studies to explore alternative design approaches and implications for innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Design and conduct tests to evaluate, debug, and verify system performance for customer acceptance.
  • Document results of complex analysis and design tasks.
  • Capture redlines for system drawings to create As-Built documentation.
  • Assist in preparing information regarding design, specifications, materials, equipment, estimated costs, and project timelines.
  • Report to the office and customer sites for system commissioning as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent specialized AV technical training and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, installing, setting up, and testing complex AV systems.
  • Proven skills and understanding of engineering AV technologies and environments, including projection displays, video conferencing, complex audio systems, control systems, and switching systems.
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS-D) certification is preferred.
