We are currently seeking a Senior Audio Video Service Technician to enhance our team and contribute to our esteemed reputation.

This role will report directly to the Service Manager and will encompass various responsibilities within the Service team, including:

  • Providing support for AV equipment at client locations
  • Conducting maintenance and delivering hardware and software updates as necessary
  • Editing files and interpreting technical drawings
  • Leading small teams during on-site projects

As a vital member of the Bridges SI Service Team, you are expected to demonstrate initiative, vision, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recognize common AV brands and equipment
  • Understand the functionality of AV components within a system
  • Operate standard AV equipment independently
  • Support live event AV operations
  • Train clients on AV system usage
  • Conduct thorough system tests to identify malfunctions
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues with a solid understanding of signal flow
  • Perform standard AV/IT cable terminations
  • Adjust network settings on PCs
  • Establish connections to equipment via IP and Serial
  • Configure basic settings on AV equipment
  • Manage file operations for DSPs and control systems
  • Make adjustments to existing DSP files
  • Interpret technical drawings and system flows
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections
  • Perform site assessments for upgrades or new installations
  • Create preliminary CAD designs for functioning systems
  • Set up and calibrate audio systems
  • Establish closed-functioning networks
  • Execute advanced video configurations, including edge blending and alignment
  • Lead small project teams
  • Provide remote assistance to other technicians
  • Mentor junior team members

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the AV industry, including site support, installation, live event support, system design, programming, and quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of AV systems and signal flow
  • Interest in the intersection of audiovisual technology and AI
  • Familiarity with analytics in audiovisual contexts
  • Knowledge of lighting, acoustics, and millwork
  • Understanding of structural engineering principles
  • CTS certification or equivalent is required
