This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and requires active participation as a key member of the Engineering Team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, repair, and testing of equipment and systems in field installations.
  • Evaluate contractual obligations, customer requirements, design modifications, and other relevant data to strategize and develop program activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead the design, testing, and installation of equipment and systems in field settings.
  • Conduct tests to assess potential hazards.
  • Prepare comprehensive AV engineering packages, including specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for clients.
  • Facilitate planning and coordination of work activities and training for technical personnel.
  • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design (CAD) software and tools for engineering tasks.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to resolve issues and achieve performance and financial goals.
  • May lead or coordinate complex project teams of in-house or onsite technical staff.
  • Design and implement high-quality AV technology solutions to ensure effective and economical support for products, systems, or equipment.
  • Engage in studies to explore alternative design strategies and their implications for innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Devise and execute appropriate tests to evaluate, troubleshoot, and confirm system performance/functionality for client acceptance.
  • Document outcomes of intricate analysis and design activities.
  • Assist in preparing information related to design, specifications, materials, costs, and project timelines.
Qualifications:

A 4-year degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent specialized AV technical training and experience is required.

We seek candidates with over 6 years of hands-on experience in designing, installing, configuring, and testing sophisticated AV systems. This practical experience is essential for the role.

Demonstrated expertise in engineering AV technologies and environments, including projection displays, video conferencing, complex audio systems, control systems, and switching systems is necessary.

AVIXA (formerly InfoComm International) Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D) certification is preferred.
