Position Overview

As a pivotal leader in the realm of collaboration technology, you will play a crucial role in shaping the experience of Enterprise clients across both governmental and corporate sectors. Bridges System Integration (Bridges SI) is recognized for its innovative approach and commitment to quality, security, and reliability in deploying cutting-edge technologies.

We are in search of an Audio Video Engineer to enhance our reputation and support our ongoing growth.

This role will report directly to the Engineering Manager and is expected to contribute significantly to the Engineering Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, repair, and testing of AV equipment and systems in various installations.
  • Evaluate contractual obligations, customer requirements, design modifications, and other relevant data to strategize and develop project activities throughout their lifecycle.
  • Lead the design, testing, and installation processes for AV systems in field settings.
  • Conduct tests to assess potential hazards and ensure safety standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive AV engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, and technical reports for clients.
  • Facilitate planning and coordination of work activities, along with training for technical personnel.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and tools to perform engineering tasks.
  • Provide expert advice and solutions to address challenges and achieve performance and financial goals.
  • Possibly lead or coordinate intricate project teams consisting of in-house or onsite technical staff.
  • Design and implement high-quality AV technology solutions to deliver effective and cost-efficient support for systems and equipment.
  • Engage in studies to explore alternative design strategies and their implications for innovative problem-solving.
  • Conduct appropriate tests to assess, troubleshoot, and confirm system performance for client acceptance.
  • Document the outcomes of complex analysis and design activities.
  • Assist in preparing detailed information regarding design, specifications, materials, costs, and project timelines.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent specialized AV technical training and experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in designing, installing, configuring, and testing sophisticated AV systems is essential. This practical experience is a vital aspect of the role.
  • Certification as an AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist – Design (CTS-D) is preferred.
  • Possession of a 4-year degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent specialized AV technical training and experience.
