As a pivotal figure in the realm of collaboration technology, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the experiences of Enterprise clients across various sectors, including government and corporate environments. Bridges System Integration (Bridges SI) is renowned for its commitment to quality, security, and reliability in deploying cutting-edge technologies.

We are seeking a seasoned Audio Video Service Technician to further elevate our service offerings and strengthen our esteemed reputation in the industry.

This position is under the direct supervision of the Service Manager.

In this capacity, you will engage in a variety of service-related functions, which include:

  • Providing support for AV equipment at client locations
  • Conducting maintenance and implementing necessary hardware and software updates
  • Editing files and interpreting technical drawings
  • Leading small teams during on-site project implementations

As a valued member of the Bridges SI Service Team, you are expected to demonstrate initiative, creativity, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and recognize various AV brands and equipment by sight and name
  • Comprehend the function of AV components within a system
  • Operate standard AV equipment independently
  • Support live event AV equipment operations
  • Provide training to clients on AV system usage
  • Conduct thorough testing of systems to ensure proper functionality
  • Diagnose hardware and software issues with a solid understanding of signal flow
  • Execute standard AV/IT cable terminations
  • Adjust network settings on PCs
  • Establish connections to equipment via IP and Serial
  • Configure basic settings on AV equipment
  • Load and manage files from Digital Signal Processors (DSPs)
  • Make adjustments to existing DSP files
  • Interpret technical drawings and system flow diagrams
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections
  • Perform site assessments for system upgrades or new installations
  • Design functional systems using basic CAD principles
  • Set up and balance audio systems
  • Establish standalone or closed-functioning networks
  • Execute advanced video setups, including edge blending and alignment
  • Lead small project teams
  • Provide remote assistance to fellow technicians
  • Mentor and guide junior team members

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the AV industry, encompassing site support, installation, live event support, system design, programming, and quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of AV systems and signal flow, with proven troubleshooting skills
  • Interest in the intersection of audiovisual technology and artificial intelligence
  • Familiarity with analytics in relation to audiovisual systems
  • Knowledge of lighting, acoustics, and millwork
  • Understanding of structural engineering principles related to support systems
  • Certification such as CTS or equivalent is required
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative office environment
