We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to work on a technology-based program supporting a key Government customer.

  • Provide subject expertise and guidance during the software development life cycle
  • Oversee development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions
  • Ensure technical solutions meet defined requirements
  • Offer Agile DevOps support to mission critical systems
  • Contribute to building strong systems, software, and cloud environments
  • Participate in the design, development, implementation, and testing of customer tools and applications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure system reliability and quick restoration to steady-state
  • Automate tasks to eliminate manual effort
  • Promote cross-team collaboration
  • Monitor IT systems and services for health and performance
  • Identify system deficiencies and propose solutions
  • Develop Service Level Indicators (SLI) and Objectives (SLO)
  • Maintain and enhance processes, standards, and tools for system reliability
  • Ensure consistent tool configuration across environments
  • Support production and end user activities
  • Stay updated with new technologies and standards
  • Collaborate in projects through the software development lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Minimum of sixteen (16) years of relevant experience with Bachelor's or Master's degrees
  • Proficient in Incident Management and Incident Response Team organization
  • Experience in developing Service Level Objectives (SLO) and CI/CD implementation
  • Scripting skills in tools like MS PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • Strong communication and multitasking abilities
  • Adaptability to evolving technologies and environments
  • Initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Java, Ruby, DevOps, and DevSecOps is preferred
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Test Automation, and IT Operations Management
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts and best practices
  • Experience with Networking, Linux/Unix, and Database Administration
