We are seeking a Senior Audio-Visual Service Technician to enhance our growth trajectory and solidify our esteemed reputation.

This role will report directly to the Service Manager.

In this capacity, you will engage in various service team functions, which include:

  • Providing support for AV equipment at client locations
  • Conducting maintenance and implementing hardware and software updates as necessary
  • Editing files and interpreting technical drawings
  • Leading small teams during on-site projects

As a member of the Bridges SI Service Team, you are expected to exhibit initiative, vision, and a collaborative spirit.

You will thrive in this role if you possess strong multitasking abilities and can empathize with our clients to identify their technological challenges. Our organization is dedicated to addressing client obstacles in innovative and impactful manners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify common AV brands and equipment by sight and name
  • Comprehend the functionality of AV components within a system
  • Operate standard AV equipment independently
  • Support AV equipment during live events
  • Provide training to clients on AV system usage
  • Conduct thorough testing of systems to ensure proper functionality
  • Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software, with a solid understanding of signal flow
  • Perform standard AV/IT cable terminations
  • Adjust network settings on PCs
  • Establish connections to equipment via IP and Serial
  • Configure basic settings on equipment
  • Manage file loading and retrieval from DSPs and control systems
  • Make adjustments to existing DSP files
  • Edit DSP files or control code with remote assistance
  • Interpret technical drawings and system flows
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections
  • Perform site surveys for system upgrades or new installations
  • Create functional system designs using basic CAD
  • Set up and balance audio systems
  • Establish a standalone or closed-functioning network
  • Execute advanced video setups, including edge blending and convergence
  • Lead small project teams
  • Provide remote support to fellow technicians
  • Mentor and assist team members

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the AV industry, encompassing site support, installation, VTC support, live event assistance, system design, programming, and quality assurance
  • Strong understanding of AV systems and signal flow, with proficiency in troubleshooting
  • Interest in the intersection of audiovisual technology with AI and analytics
  • Knowledge of lighting, acoustics, and millwork
  • Familiarity with structural engineering practices
  • CTS certification or equivalent is required
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative office environment
