El CBO de la Región Atlántica está buscando un Coordinador de Acceso al Paciente dinámico y talentoso.

El Coordinador de Acceso al Paciente es responsable de recibir llamadas entrantes, realizar llamadas salientes, programar y pre-registrar pacientes de manera oportuna y precisa en los sistemas SMS y Cerner.

Además, el Coordinador de Acceso al Paciente intentará recaudar copagos y deducibles de los pacientes en el momento de la preinscripción. Esta posición también implica interpretar contratos de atención administrada, regulaciones de Medicare, terminología médica y anatómica, aplicando este conocimiento al proceso de programación y registro.

Las responsabilidades clave incluyen:
  • Realizar programación, preinscripción y, si es necesario, verificación de seguros dentro de las 24 horas de recibir la notificación para servicios tanto de pacientes hospitalizados como ambulatorios.
  • Contactar a los médicos para resolver problemas relacionados con autorizaciones previas o formularios de referencia.
  • Investigar el historial de visitas del paciente para asegurar el cumplimiento con la regla de 72 horas de Medicare y completar el cuestionario de pagador secundario de Medicare y el ABN según corresponda.
  • Contactar al paciente de manera oportuna y cortés para confirmar o obtener información demográfica faltante, cotizar/recaudar el pago del paciente e instruir al paciente sobre dónde presentarse en el momento de la cita.
  • Realizar confirmación de elegibilidad electrónica utilizando HDX y llamar a las aseguradoras cuando sea necesario.
  • Colaborar con los departamentos de la instalación y los departamentos internos del CBO para investigar y resolver problemas asociados con consultas de pacientes o compañías de seguros.
  • Actuar como enlace con los departamentos del hospital para resolver problemas y documentar adecuadamente.
  • Implementar y seguir los procedimientos de inactividad del sistema cuando sea necesario.
  • Otras tareas según se asignen.
