This role is essential for managing the financial and operational aspects of the college.

Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Continuing and Professional Education, the selected individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing budgetary processes, accounting, and human resource functions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the planning and development of the annual budget.
  • Coordinating budget reviews with stakeholders.
  • Forecasting tuition and other revenue streams.
  • Conducting financial analysis and preparing budget reports to ensure effective management of resources.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Developing and implementing budgetary policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management to provide strategic oversight of financial operations.
  • Prepare and manage annual budget submissions.
  • Analyze and interpret budgetary information, including legislative impacts.
  • Deliver training sessions to staff regarding budget policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting, budget forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • One year of supervisory or managerial experience is required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of budgeting principles and public finance.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and research methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as business or finance.
  • Experience in higher education financial operations.
  • Familiarity with human resources and procurement software.
