Lead Solutions Architect, Logistics Systems

The Lead Solutions Architect is a pivotal role within the BEUMER Group, focusing on the design and implementation of advanced technical solutions in the Logistics Systems Division across North America.
This position is essential for collaborating closely with Solutions Architects to create and refine logistics systems that improve operational efficiency, visibility, and scalability.
Additionally, the role requires engagement with external partners and global teams to gather business requirements, assess current processes and systems, and devise innovative solutions that enhance logistics operations and foster business growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design comprehensive logistics solutions, encompassing conveyor systems, sortation technologies, goods-to-person systems, and warehouse control systems (WCS/WES).
- Develop optimal material and process flows tailored to customer specifications and requirements.
- Assess various technologies, software, and hardware solutions to determine the most effective options based on functional needs, scalability, and cost considerations.
- Craft solutions by thoroughly evaluating data, customer needs, solution objectives, and available technology options from both internal and external sources.
- Examine logistics workflows and processes to pinpoint inefficiencies and bottlenecks, recommending enhancements and automation opportunities to boost operational efficiency and minimize costs.
- Calculate throughput, performance metrics, and functionalities of proposed solutions, aligning them with customer objectives.
- Identify potential risks and challenges linked to proposed solutions and suggest strategies for mitigation.
- Create detailed documentation, user manuals, and training resources for logistics systems, offering training and support to stakeholders as necessary.
- Assist engineering teams with functional design and specifications.
- Generate cost estimates based on the technical design of subsystems and integrated systems within sales projects, collaborating with the Sales Manager.
- Engage with LS Sales Managers and Marketing to promote solutions to clients through calls, visits, and marketing materials.
- Participate in the transition process from sales to operations, ensuring accurate design parameters for proposed solutions.
- Coordinate the integration and overall design between BEUMER and external sub-suppliers, as well as design and estimation tasks with other BEUMER entities.
- Prepare documentation and presentations for customer RFPs that effectively showcase the advantages of the proposed BEUMER solutions, along with developing white papers on solutions.
