We are seeking a Workshop Technician to oversee operations at our designated facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute servicing, assembly, and testing of WOM's and third-party equipment in alignment with our quality management protocols.
- Prepare and uphold necessary documentation in accordance with our quality management standards.
- Identify potential risks and monitor the condition of tools and machinery, reporting any irregularities to the Supervisor.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and attitude at all times.
- Understand and adhere to our Quality Policy and all requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently.
- Verify components against the Bill of Materials.
- Inspect components for damage or visible defects.
- Complete sub-assemblies and final assemblies for testing and/or inspection.
- Interpret basic drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Operate hydraulic power units effectively.
- Utilize general hand, hydraulic, and air tools proficiently.
- Assist in rigging and de-rigging equipment for transport using cranes, forklifts, and winches.
- Distinguish between various hydraulic and pneumatic fittings.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and provide technical feedback to Engineering and/or the supervisor.
- Conduct quality checks on tools to ensure proper assembly, design, and functionality.
- Complete documentation as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Exhibit flexibility in work schedule, including the possibility of extended hours or weekend/holiday shifts.
- Perform pressure, functional testing, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) / Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of equipment.
- Maintain testing equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, gauges, hoses, and related apparatus.
- Utilize chart recorders as directed by procedures.
- Employ measurements, testing equipment, and functional gauges to ensure products meet all specified requirements.
- Verify gauge calibration and operate testing equipment.
- Monitor controls and instruments, accurately record test data, and prepare comprehensive test reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
