ROLE DESCRIPTION: Key Responsibilities & Activities:
We are seeking a Senior Pre-Commissioning Technician with a pathway to a supervisory role.
The selected candidate will initially be onboarded as a Senior Technician, with the opportunity to transition to the Supervisor position after successfully completing several offshore rotations and requisite training.
The Subsea Pre-Commissioning Supervisor will oversee the management and operation of subsea flowline equipment during offshore operational activities, as well as during onshore preparatory mobilization and demobilization tasks.
Key responsibilities include managing equipment maintenance during offshore operations, overseeing logistics, and leading a team of technicians to effectively execute the required scope of work.
It is essential to ensure that technicians on-site receive adequate coaching, training, and supervision to perform their tasks safely and with high-quality workmanship. All operations conducted at the worksite must be meticulously planned and executed in accordance with the project's established procedures.Regular communication with Client Representatives and Operational Project Teams is expected, providing updates and reports as necessary.
A robust background in ROV operations is preferred, as close collaboration with the vessel ROV team will be required during equipment integration and operational phases.
Job Specific Requirements:
Preparation of Equipment Prior to Offshore Execution:
Conduct pre-mobilization inventory and certification checks for the required work scope.
Ensure that mobilized equipment is appropriate for the scope of work.
Complete and verify equipment load-out lists.
Perform and supervise Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Integration Tests (SITs), and Client witnessed function testing as required.
Offshore Execution:
Supervise technicians at the worksite and hold onboard responsibility for equipment performance.
Report to the Subsea Pre-Commissioning Engineer and/or Offshore Project Lead.
Ensure adherence to all Pre-Commissioning procedures and safety regulations.
Maintain daily operational reports, equipment maintenance reports, flowline pressure test reports, and generate Task Risk Assessments (TRAs) and Toolbox Talks (TBTs) for all tasks.
Collaborate with other offshore departments, including deck and marine, to fulfill the work scope.
Possess a thorough understanding of and operate in accordance with the Company's Business Management System.
Supervise and conduct pre- and post-operational equipment checks, including recorded pressure integrity checks up to 20,000 psi.
Carry out demobilization inventory checks, create shipping manifests, and organize the return of equipment to base.
Utilize maintenance management software to create demobilization worklists and end-of-job reports.
Execute work scopes for subsea pre-commissioning operations, which may encompass ROV equipment integration, hydrostatic testing, electrical testing, fiber optic testing, chemical filling/flushing, software operation, and troubleshooting.
Operational Key Factors:
Must be prepared to work offshore for extended periods as well as at the home base as required.
Must be physically fit and able to obtain offshore survival and medical certification.
Attendance and successful completion of all job-specific training is required.
Lead by example to promote the Subsea7 safety culture within the team.
Experience:
Preferred 5+ years of experience in subsea operations, pressure testing, and team leadership.
Extensive familiarity with ROV systems (electrical, optical, hydraulic).
Knowledge of hydrostatic testing at pressures of up to 20,000 psi.
Awareness of fluid cleanliness metrics and their impact on equipment and operations.
Experience with electrical systems (power, communications, software) and associated test equipment such as Insulation Resistance Meters and Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs).
Umbilical Pre-Commissioning experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Experience in fluid particle analysis, including particle counting using a binocular microscope, is a plus.
Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
