Role Overview:
The Subsea Mechanical Technician is responsible for the upkeep and operation of all mechanical handling systems associated with vessel operations. This includes the management of nodes from storage systems to ROVs, ensuring efficient and safe mechanical equipment operation in collaboration with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Shift Leader Mechanic and ensure seamless handover to the next shift.
- Conduct repair and maintenance on all proprietary subsea equipment.
- Provide guidance to the Shift Leader Mechanic during non-standard situations.
- Suggest enhancements to existing systems and processes.
- Engage in back-deck and port call operations, contributing to technical assessments, fault documentation, and shipyard work lists.
- Offer mechanical expertise to other departments as needed.

Maintenance Duties:
- Accurately document and report maintenance activities using the designated maintenance systems.
- Implement corrective measures and seek assistance from other onboard departments when required.

Qualifications:
- Completion of an Engineering School or Technician Diploma in relevant fields such as General Mechanics, Hydraulics, or Electro-mechanics.
- Proficient in handling mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment (up to 690 volts), including Automats and Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Experience with electric motors, active heave compensated systems, offshore cranes, and related mechanical handling systems.
- Familiarity with welding techniques (aluminum and stainless steel) and seismic operations.
- Knowledge of subsea systems, ROV tooling, and marine back deck operations.
- Strong command of spoken and written English, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation.

Additional Requirements:
- Equivalent vocational or military experience in roles such as Engineer, Mechanic, or Artificer.
- Capability to work in international environments and adapt to challenging field conditions.
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach and a focus on achieving results.
- Flexible mindset towards new challenges and requirements, demonstrating integrity and reliability.
