About the Advanced Technology Group:

The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) serves as the research arm of the organization. ATG's goal is to anticipate future trends, provide insights, and innovate technological solutions that will propel Dolby's ongoing development.

Our researchers possess diverse expertise in areas related to computer science and electrical engineering, including AI/ML, algorithms, digital signal processing, audio engineering, image processing, computer vision, data science & analytics, distributed systems, cloud, edge & mobile computing, computer networking, and IoT.

Position Overview:

We are a vital research team within Dolby's Advanced Technology Group, dedicated to developing
state-of-the-art audio, visual, and multimodal technologies that enhance next-generation experiences.
This project focuses on exploring the convergence of machine learning and human-computer interaction, along with the development of a corresponding prototype.

Qualifications:

  • PhD candidates in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.

  • Strong foundation in signal processing theory, linear algebra, probability, and machine learning.

  • Proven application of machine learning and signal processing to practical challenges.

  • Demonstrated ability to showcase results through projects, prototypes, patent applications, and publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.

  • Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, or Python.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in human-computer interaction.
  • Experience in physiological or bio-signal analysis.
  • Data collection and augmentation experience.
  • Signal denoising expertise.
  • Knowledge of optimization theory.
  • Experience with hardware such as amplifiers and ADC/DAC.

Eligibility:

Working towards a PhD in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field; recent graduates within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available for full-time work for a duration of 3 months.


The hourly compensation for this internship position is competitive and can vary based on location.

Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Individual pay is influenced by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
