Job Overview
Medline Industries, LP is seeking a dedicated Product Sales Specialist to enhance our Capital, Equipment & Furnishings division. This role is designed for remote work with significant travel across the Southeast USA, covering states such as AR, TN, NC, LA, MS, AL, GA, SC, and FL. The selected candidate will implement sales strategies aimed at achieving key sales objectives while serving as the product authority within the Medline sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development
- Collaborate with sales representatives to identify and develop target account lists.
Market Research & Strategic Planning
- Assist in executing the overarching strategy and market approach.
- Conduct business reviews in partnership with Division Product Management.
- Guide sales and product management teams in leveraging business reviews effectively.
- Prepare and present actionable business plans to ensure feasibility within budget and time constraints.
- Facilitate the creation of customer needs assessments to align with market demands.
- Produce competitive analysis documentation in collaboration with the product management team.
Client Engagement
- Develop and present technical proposals demonstrating how Medline's offerings meet client needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and external stakeholders.
- Deliver comprehensive presentations and product demonstrations to clients and sales personnel.
Program Management & Implementation
- Oversee various stages from program inception to trial support and implementation.
- Provide ongoing support to sales representatives through various communication channels.
- Engage in customer support to resolve issues related to product usage.
- Facilitate product conversions when necessary.
Training & Education
- Design and conduct in-service training sessions for customers.
- Create training materials including tools, resources, and manuals.
- Monitor and address quality concerns or customer feedback effectively.
Product Development Insights
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends influencing sales and product innovation.
- Provide constructive feedback for product enhancements and new product opportunities.
- Identify market needs through interactions with sales teams.
Performance Measurement
- Collaborate with clients to track performance metrics and utilization rates.
- Monitor sales forecasts and document account activities to meet targets.
- Provide updates on significant account developments and revenue generation.
Industry Expertise
- Act as a product authority within the organization, contributing to technical presentations and strategic initiatives.
- Engage with professional organizations and participate in industry events and training.
Qualifications
Education
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or clinical field is typically required.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years in product management, development, or sales is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient understanding of products, customer needs, and market dynamics.
- Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic presentations.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective presentation skills for diverse audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel frequently for business purposes.
- Comfortable working in both office and medical facility environments.
