**Job Summary**

As a Tool & Die Maker at Camaco, your primary responsibility will be to perform maintenance, repairs, and manufacturing of progressive dies, as well as rebuilding or repairing tooling to support production. Below are the key aspects of this role:

  • **Die Maintenance and Repair**: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on dies using various equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and extend tool life.
  • **Fabrication and Repair**: Fabricate and repair dies for production purposes, adhering to blueprint specifications and quality standards.
  • **Documentation and Data Management**: Document data for the department and operate equipment like hi-lo and cranes for die transportation, ensuring accurate records and efficient logistics.
  • **Required Education and Experience**
    • **Education**: High School Diploma or equivalent with formal training and 5+ years of related work experience.
  • **Competencies**
    • **Mechanical Ability and Problem-Solving**: Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
    • **Fabrication Techniques and Tools**: Knowledge of various fabrication techniques and tools to perform tasks effectively.
    • **Machinery Operation and Calculations**: Ability to operate a range of machinery and perform calculations to ensure accurate results.
    • **Computer and Communication Skills**: Computer and communication skills for department tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • **Licensure and Certification**: Hi-lo and crane certification along with journeyman status or an accredited certificate.
  • **Supervisory Responsibility**: No supervisory responsibilities.
  • **Work Environment**: Mainly on the plant floor, with a focus on a safe and efficient working environment.
  • **Physical Demands**: Manual tasks involving hands-on work, standing, kneeling, and occasional lifting, requiring physical stamina and endurance.
