Job Overview

The role involves performing essential tasks related to the upkeep of machinery and facilities to ensure optimal operation aligned with manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver daily assistance to manufacturing operations.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Facilitate the setup and integration of new and refurbished machinery.
  • Utilize machinery, tools, gauges, and forklift equipment effectively.
  • Handle electrical systems including 480V three-phase power, and perform basic wiring tasks.
  • Install plumbing, water, drainage, and air systems for various equipment.
  • Maintain the facility and surrounding grounds throughout the year.
  • Execute additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, along with formal training leading to Journeyman status in Machine Repair or equivalent practical experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems troubleshooting and repair.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
  • Completion of all required training courses and assessments as outlined in the Department Training Phases I & II.

  • Technical Proficiency
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for equipment
  • Understanding of NEC and ANSI standards
  • Familiarity with automotive specifications
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems sufficient for diagnosing and repairing machinery.
  • Proficient computer and mathematical skills necessary for departmental tasks.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.

Supervisory Role

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

The employee will primarily work on the manufacturing floor.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently walks, stands, kneels, crouches, talks, and hears. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
