Industrial Maintenance Specialist

The role involves executing tasks related to the upkeep of machinery and facilities to guarantee that operations align with the manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities

- Deliver daily assistance to operational activities.
- Diagnose and rectify issues with plant machinery and equipment.
- Facilitate the setup and integration of new and refurbished equipment.
- Utilize machinery, tools, gauges, and forklift equipment effectively.
- Handle electrical systems, including 480V three-phase wiring for lights, presses, and welders.
- Install plumbing, water, drainage, and air systems for presses, welders, and facilities.
- Oversee the maintenance of the building and grounds throughout all seasons.
- Execute additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
Essential Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent, along with formal training leading to Journeyman status in Machine Repair or relevant on-the-job experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair.
- A minimum of three years of related experience.
- Completion of all courses and/or assessments outlined in the Department Training Phases I & II is mandatory.
Skills and Competencies
- Technical Proficiency
- Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for equipment
- Familiarity with NEC and ANSI standards
- Understanding of automotive specifications
- Expertise in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems sufficient for diagnosing and repairing machinery.
- Proficient computer and mathematical skills necessary for departmental tasks.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with all employee levels.
Supervisory Role
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While carrying out the responsibilities of this position, the employee primarily operates on the plant floor.

In performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently needs to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Occasionally, the employee must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
