The Production Process Engineer plays a crucial role in designing and executing efficient manufacturing workflows that align with product specifications and quality benchmarks.   • Perform time and method evaluations to set time benchmarks for manufacturing tasks.
  • Offer Industrial Engineering assistance to all production activities through the application of lean manufacturing strategies.
  • Create facility layouts, operational guidelines, and process flow diagrams while complying with safety, quality, and efficiency protocols.
  • Manage automation processes involving robotic materials and components.
  • Oversee process FMEA's and other relevant documentation.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to processes and machinery.
  • Establish, track, and report on production metrics and productivity incentive schemes.
  • Refurbish and repurpose machinery as needed.
  • Support and troubleshoot 8D / Problem-solving methodologies.
  • Accountable for IATF16949 documentation standards.
  • Execute other assigned responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Required Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a similar discipline.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing setting.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not entail any supervisory duties.

Work Environment

The employee will operate in both an office environment and on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands

Physical requirements include handling objects, utilizing tools, reaching, walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting items weighing up to 40 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
