Position Summary:

The role of the Territory Manager is a pivotal sales position aimed at meeting designated revenue and implant objectives. This position emphasizes the cultivation of sales growth in previously unexplored or underutilized accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with both new and existing customers within the designated territory.
  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the product landscape in a competitive market.
  • Offers engineering, sales, and technical assistance in response to field inquiries on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensures regional procedural case coverage.
  • Provides support in various areas, including sales assistance, heart failure clinic support, training and education, clinical studies/data collection, and new product training.
  • Creates and adheres to a strategic business plan.
  • Completes necessary administrative sales tasks, such as filing expense reports, scheduling meetings, and organizing travel arrangements.
  • Adheres to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, along with other regulatory standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Fosters positive and collaborative communication with all levels of staff, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Engages with customers and affiliated institutions, including physicians and technicians, as well as customer purchasing and administrative personnel.
  • Collaborates with various levels of sales and management teams.
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with patients.
  • Performs additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or four years of relevant work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful sales or related business experience, preferably in the medical device sector.
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects, and accustomed to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in personal computer applications, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to leverage and engage others to achieve project goals.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information at various organizational levels.
  • Skilled in multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Flexible schedule for case coverage and client meetings outside of standard hours.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, depending on territory geography.

Preferred:

  • Experience with direct quota achievement and performance metrics.
