Job Description

At Safilo USA, we are seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales team in a specified region or geographical area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering growth and results, with a strong ability to problem solve and anticipate challenges in advance.

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for planning and managing a sales team to achieve profitable growth in sales revenue. This will involve providing ongoing support to distribute and execute Safilo's go-to-market strategy, as well as personally interacting with customers and sales agents on a daily basis.

The main responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Managing a team of sales representatives, including independent contractors and employees
  • Coaching sales reps to improve their selling skills, using non-directive coaching techniques
  • Conducting frequent ride-alongs with reps to observe and coach sales skills
  • Conducting quarterly performance reviews with each rep on the team
  • Networking, recruiting, and hiring new reps for open territories
  • Determining compensation for specific territories and reps
  • On-boarding new reps within the region and implementing the Safilo sales process
  • Building synergy markets to help reps sell as a team
  • Helping to maintain and drive additional sales in regional key accounts
  • Developing a territory strategy to share with the director of sales and drive on a consistent basis
  • Managing and being accountable for the regional P&L and sales targets
  • Building sales plans for assigned regions, incorporating commercial and brand priorities
  • Being an engaged member of the 3O's leadership team and attending mandatory meetings
  • Providing disciplinary accountability for sales agents in the region, as needed
  • Reviewing and approving travel and expense reports for employees
  • Spending four days per week in the field

Essential Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent management experience
  • Must currently live within the region and be available for regular travel 80% of the time in the identified territory
  • 10+ years of direct sales experience in eyewear or a related industry, with a proven track record of results
  • 4 days a week in the field expected
  • Sales Force software experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of delivering growth and results
  • Excellent training and presentation skills
  • Strong visual merchandising background
  • Strong ability to problem solve, anticipate challenges in advance, and propose solutions
  • Ability to embrace and follow corporate direction, especially in reference to closures and openings
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Highly professional and strong fashion sense
  • Strong business judgment and negotiation skills
  • Team player with strong leadership qualities
  • Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must submit to a full background check
