The BIM Project Management Specialist plays a crucial role within the design technology sector of Gresham Smith's leadership team. This group provides strategic guidance to practice leaders regarding the essential capabilities required to enhance their operational goals. The specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and managing systems that support our professional design and production services. This role demands a proactive individual with exceptional communication abilities and a strong focus on customer service. The specialist will assist our team members in delivering high-quality outcomes and will be dedicated to ensuring excellence in client deliverables and staff support.

Location: We welcome candidates from various locations and offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate BIM/REVIT project initiation and information sharing. Collaborate within a BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent, best practice-driven outcomes. Create and implement BIM Project execution strategies and ensure their application on projects. Oversee and update BIM project documentation. Provide support for linked views and manage multiple model scenarios. Conduct routine model management and maintenance tasks. Offer hands-on training, development, and mentorship to staff. Content Development: Create Families including parametric, formula-based, nested, and type catalogs. Establish and manage Clash Detection models on projects, collaborating with design consultants to address issues. Lead meetings and initiatives to resolve clash-related challenges. Engage directly with clients and other consultants to facilitate communication and set expectations. Coordinate and manage the distribution of electronic deliverables to clients and consultants. Develop, document, and implement project delivery methodologies for project outputs in alignment with Gresham Smith policies and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Architecture or Engineering; Bachelor's degree is preferred. At least 4 years of relevant experience with Autodesk Revit software; expertise in creating BIM-related parametric content and comprehensive knowledge of templates. Familiarity with standard operations, policies, and procedures within the A/E industry. Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to apply technical solutions to business challenges. Extensive knowledge of CADD/BIM Technologies along with other analytical and design software applications. Thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations concerning technology issues. Advanced communication skills (both written and oral) and presentation capabilities. Comfortable delivering formal presentations. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
