The BIM Model Coordinator plays a crucial role within the design technology sector of Gresham Smith's leadership team. This group provides strategic advice to practice leaders on the essential capabilities required to further their objectives. The position involves developing, implementing, and managing systems that support our professional design and production services. We seek a proactive individual with outstanding communication abilities and a strong focus on customer service. This role is dedicated to assisting our team members in delivering high-quality outputs while ensuring exceptional support for our staff.

Work Environment: The successful candidate can be based in any of our office locations and will benefit from a flexible hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate BIM/REVIT project initiation and provide necessary information. Collaborate within a BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent, best practice-driven outcomes. Create and implement BIM Project execution strategies for effective project delivery. Oversee and maintain BIM project documentation. Support the management of linked views and multi-model scenarios. Conduct routine model management and maintenance tasks. Provide hands-on training, development, and mentorship to team members. Develop Families including parametric, formula-based, nested, and type catalogs. Establish and manage Clash Detection models, collaborating with design consultants to address issues. Lead meetings and initiatives to resolve clash-related challenges. Engage directly with clients and consultants to facilitate communication and set clear expectations. Coordinate the delivery of electronic information, including project deliverables, to clients and consultants. Formulate, document, and implement project delivery methodologies aligned with Gresham Smith policies and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

An Associate's degree in Architecture or Engineering; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. At least 4 years of relevant experience with Autodesk Revit software, including creating BIM-related parametric content and a comprehensive understanding of templates. Familiarity with standard operations, policies, and procedures within the A/E industry. Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to apply technical solutions to business challenges. Extensive knowledge of CADD/BIM technologies and other analytical and design software applications. Thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to technology issues. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and presentation capabilities, with comfort in delivering formal presentations. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse personalities and communication styles.
