The Project Management Specialist will operate under the guidance of a Project Manager or higher, assisting in the execution of various small to medium-scale projects to ensure they meet their goals and deadlines. Responsibilities include developing project timelines and tracking task progress. The specialist will also be tasked with effectively communicating project status to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Some travel may be necessary depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structure project tasks into manageable segments for team members and devise effective strategies for task completion as per the project outline.
  • Foster relationships with business owners and team members to facilitate project execution.
  • Identify and address potential risks and challenges proactively.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates within established timelines.
  • Guide team members in understanding task assignments, milestones, and expected outcomes.
  • Assist in creating resources to support on-the-ground implementation.
  • Ensure clarity in project scope, objectives, plans, and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in project management, ideally within the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems, supply chain management, workforce management, and financial services is advantageous.
  • Experience with HCA, HealthTrust, or Parallon is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation throughout all project phases, including completion of closure documentation.
  • Manage project status reporting consistently throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and work breakdown structures in accordance with standard project phases.
  • Demonstrate tactical execution skills to manage complex project processes effectively.
  • Exhibit attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and the capability to work independently.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, high-profile team environment.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential.

Position Details:

  • Remote work opportunity.
  • Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Compensation starts at $45 per hour, based on experience, along with benefits.
