Job Overview

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a qualified Lead Project Management Specialist to join our team in a Healthcare Environment.

The Lead Project Management Specialist will independently oversee, plan, and manage a variety of complex projects across multiple teams and departments. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high visibility within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage actively with stakeholders across various levels to manage relationships and facilitate project activities.
  • Develop and present strategic documents, including Project Charters and detailed project plans, to business owners.
  • Break down project activities into manageable tasks and establish effective approaches for completion.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues, ensuring timely reporting on project status.
  • Oversee the completion of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage team performance to ensure quality and integration of work.
  • Provide mentorship to team members in project management methodologies.
  • Facilitate decision-making processes necessary for project advancement.
  • Prepare implementation documentation, including toolkits and schedules.
  • Coordinate project planning, resource allocation, and reporting.
  • Ensure project outcomes meet technical quality, reliability, and cost requirements.
  • Address both technical and non-technical challenges throughout the project duration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple projects to successful completion, preferably in healthcare-related fields.
  • At least 2 years of management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare systems, supply chain, or financial services is advantageous.
  • PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with LEAN and/or SIX SIGMA methodologies is a plus.
  • Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for gaining commitment and facilitating discussions.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies is beneficial.
