Position Overview:
As a Nuclear Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and protection of our facilities, personnel, and assets. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance within a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physical security measures to safeguard sensitive areas and personnel.
- Identify and rectify security breaches, enforcing organizational policies related to Industrial and Nuclear Security.
- Prepare detailed incident reports as necessary.
- Manage access controls for facilities, particularly aboard naval nuclear vessels.
- Conduct regular security and safety patrols, providing emergency response support across the facility.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including running, kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, and climbing.
- Must pass a respirator fit test and be capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and at heights or in confined spaces.
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts as per operational needs.

Qualifications:
- Successful completion of radiological and nuclear security training is required.
- Must qualify with firearms (handgun and shotgun).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; prior experience in Law Enforcement, Security, or Military is advantageous.
