Position Overview

The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring the physical security of facilities, personnel, and assets. This role involves identifying and rectifying security breaches, enforcing organizational policies related to Industrial and Nuclear Security, and documenting incidents as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement access controls for facilities and sensitive areas associated with naval nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines.
  • Conduct security and safety patrols, providing emergency response support across the facility, waterfront, and vessels.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess the physical capability to run, kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and ascend stairs and vertical ladders. A successful completion of a respirator fit test is required, along with the ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.

Individuals must be prepared to work both indoors and outdoors throughout the year, in various weather conditions, and be comfortable in extreme heights or confined spaces. Flexibility to work assigned shifts and a rotating schedule is essential.

Candidates must successfully complete both written and practical training in radiological and nuclear security, and demonstrate proficiency with firearms (handgun and shotgun). The ability to obtain a security clearance within a specified timeframe is also required. Strong comprehension of written instructions and effective communication skills (both verbal and written) are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in Law Enforcement, Security, or Military service is advantageous.
