Position Summary

The Regional Sales Executive (RSE) plays a pivotal role in strategizing and executing territory initiatives aimed at driving sales and enhancing market presence. This position emphasizes exceptional customer service and effective territory management.

Territory Focus

This role encompasses the Kansas City, MO region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture relationships with designated distribution partners within the territory.
  • Engage regularly with roofing contractors, remodelers, builders, and architects to stimulate demand.
  • Deliver presentations on products and programs to qualified distributors and end-users weekly.
  • Conduct product knowledge training sessions for customers.
  • Adjust territory pricing in response to competitive dynamics.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from customers and internal teams.
  • Submit weekly market intelligence reports in a timely manner.
  • Oversee customer accounts receivable and manage deductions.
  • Address and resolve product quality issues within the territory.
  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan to achieve sales objectives and meet customer requirements.
  • Utilize approved sales and marketing resources within budget constraints.
  • Enhance IKO's market share in the designated territory.
  • Communicate market insights and competitive information effectively.
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and company events as required.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company vehicle policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the building products sector preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in sales targeting roofing contractors, builders, and architects.
  • Prior professional sales training is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Polish is a plus.

Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a customer retail, distribution, or home office setting.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Occasional movement within the office to access resources.
  • Frequent use of a computer and office equipment.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively is essential.
