Position Overview

This role is situated within the framework of the Department of Rehabilitation. Under the guidance of the Staff Services Manager II, the Team Manager for Staff Services Manager I is tasked with overseeing the Vocational Rehabilitation Service Delivery Team. This team comprises Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Qualified Rehabilitation Professionals, and other support staff, ensuring effective service delivery across the designated area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the operational functions of the vocational rehabilitation programs.
  • Provide direct supervision and mentorship to team members on medical, psychological, and regulatory matters.
  • Review and approve casework performed by staff, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Facilitate staff training and support regarding regulatory interpretations and departmental procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the development of consumer vocational rehabilitation plans.
  • Conduct program and case reviews to maintain quality service delivery and compliance.
  • Act as the District Administrator's representative in their absence, addressing inquiries and executing necessary actions.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution. Additionally, successful completion of a graduate course focusing on counseling theories and techniques is required. Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and dependability are essential attributes for this position.
