Position Title: Financial Relationship Manager
Salary: $24.70 /Hour + DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:15 am - 6:15 pm. Some Saturdays 11:30 am - 4:30 pm

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is centered around branch-based sales with an emphasis on establishing and nurturing both consumer and business relationships. The primary objective is to enhance customer satisfaction while meeting sales targets, thus contributing to the overall success of the bank.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing banking relationships through in-person and phone sales calls to current and prospective clients.
  2. Engage with clients to assess their financial needs and suggest suitable banking products and services, while also cross-selling and making referrals to other departments.
  3. Facilitate the opening of new accounts, promote consumer products and services, and address customer inquiries related to their accounts.
  4. Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients, delivering exceptional customer service.
  5. Act as a liaison between clients and various bank departments, staying informed about current and new products to provide informed recommendations.
  6. Process customer contracts for banking products and services, addressing any questions or concerns regarding the agreements.
  7. Conduct interviews to evaluate customer needs for consumer loans, managing applications and documentation for underwriting, and communicating loan decisions.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in essential duties.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and one year of experience in a customer relationship role, or four years in a customer-facing position with two years in a relationship management capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of sales experience is required.
Preferred: Experience in outside sales.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Proficiency in typing at least 35 wpm and operating a 10-key calculator is required. Experience with word processing and spreadsheets is necessary; database experience is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret business documents, professional journals, and standard banking contracts. Capable of writing reports and business correspondence effectively.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Proficient in applying mathematical concepts to practical situations.

REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to solve practical problems and handle various situations with limited standardization. Capable of defining problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions.

LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS:
Must be eligible to obtain an NMLS License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently stands, walks, sits, and uses hands to manipulate objects.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

Travel to local businesses and/or customers may be required during work hours for sales purposes.
