Job Objective:
Act as a financial analyst and accounting liaison for the technical asset teams, aiding in the compilation and dissemination of monthly financial statements while preparing schedules for the company's employee meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as an analyst and accounting liaison for technical asset teams, which encompasses the preparation of monthly financial reports, management of capital forecasts, budget planning, quarterly activity reviews, preparation of asset management profiles, and conducting research and analysis of operating expenses, along with ad hoc reporting. Generate cost and production reports for field personnel and collaborate with them to provide additional information as required for special projects.
- Engage in the organization of monthly employee open book management meetings and executive reports. The analysts are accountable for all facets of the monthly meetings, including the preparation of schedules, presentations, and meeting materials.
- During the company’s closing process, ensure the timely distribution of monthly internal financial reports, conduct analysis and review of the reports for accuracy, and prepare and book Operating Expense and AFE Accruals.
- Compile special reports and execute special projects by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing information for various groups within the company, including executives, technical staff, and accountants.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget in collaboration with Asset Teams and Planning & Budgeting.
- Uphold employee trust and safeguard operations by maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Enhance technical knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and engaging in professional associations.
- Contribute to team success by achieving related results as necessary.
- Embrace the company's core values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.
- Support the company's vision and mission.
- Adhere to established work schedules, attendance standards, and punctuality for work and meetings.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in accounting or as an analyst.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional proficiency in data management.
- Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.
- Aptitude for completing multiple, diverse tasks of varying priorities without close supervision.
- Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable format.
- Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
- Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Preferred: PowerBI, SAP.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college in accounting, finance, or business.
