Graduate Student Services Coordinator

The University of Southern California (USC) is seeking a dedicated Graduate Student Services Advisor to enhance the experience of graduate students within the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. This role serves as a vital link between students and faculty, ensuring a supportive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Student Services Leadership:**
- Oversee and manage graduate student services in collaboration with department faculty and staff.
- Set priorities and timelines for the delivery of student services, ensuring a high standard of support.
2. **Recruitment and Outreach:**
- Develop and implement strategies for recruitment and outreach to attract prospective graduate students.
- Coordinate recruitment activities in consultation with program admissions committees and faculty.
3. **Academic Counseling:**
- Provide comprehensive academic advising to graduate students regarding curriculum, course requirements, and graduation processes.
- Monitor student progress and facilitate necessary interventions to support academic success.
4. **Event Coordination:**
- Plan and execute various student events, including orientations, receptions, and award ceremonies.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure successful event execution.
5. **Administrative Support:**
- Maintain accurate student records and coordinate financial support and registration activities.
- Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external use, contributing to program assessments.
Qualifications:
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in student services or related fields.
- **Skills:** Strong analytical, counseling, and project management skills are essential.
