Job Summary:
The University of California Los Angeles is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Services Advisor 3 to join our team. As a key member of the Student Organizations, Leadership and Engagement (SOLE) office, you will be responsible for advising a diverse group of student organizations, developing and presenting leadership and skill-building workshops, and addressing time, place, and manner issues on campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise a portion of the over 1300 registered undergraduate and graduate student organizations, including underserved populations, disadvantaged communities, and culture-based organizations.
- Develop and present leadership and skill-building workshops for individual students and organizational leadership.
- Address time, place, and manner issues on campus.
- Collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to promote student success and engagement.
- Develop and implement programs to enhance student leadership and organizational development.
- Provide guidance and support to students on campus policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Higher Education or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in student affairs or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
