Position Title: Student Liaison
Department: Vocational Nursing Program
Reports To: Director of Nursing & Director of Education
Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Position Summary: The Student Liaison is essential in facilitating the Vocational Nursing Program by delivering administrative and student support services. This role requires collaboration with students, alumni, faculty, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless and supportive educational journey. The Student Liaison will provide assistance with job placement initiatives, examination administration, collection of student feedback, and various organizational responsibilities.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Reception Duties: Welcome current and prospective students at the front desk.
  2. Communication: Manage incoming calls.
  3. Graduate Engagement & Employment Support:
    • Maintain ongoing communication with recent graduates to aid in their job search.
    • Offer advice on job applications, interview preparation, and networking techniques.
    • Assist graduates in crafting, reviewing, and enhancing resumes and cover letters.
    • Build and sustain relationships with healthcare employers to uncover job opportunities for graduates.
  4. NCLEX Examination Assistance:
    • Guide students through the registration process for the NCLEX examination.
    • Provide insights on exam preparation resources and study methods.
    • Track and monitor student progress towards taking and passing the NCLEX.
  5. Exam Administration:
    • Oversee and proctor examinations, ensuring a fair and secure testing environment.
    • Coordinate exam schedules and communicate them effectively to students and faculty.
  6. Attendance Oversight:
    • Monitor and maintain student attendance records.
    • Address attendance issues with students and faculty as necessary.
    • Implement attendance policies and follow up with students regarding attendance concerns.
  7. Student Feedback & Progress Tracking:
    • Regularly reach out to current students to collect feedback on their educational experience.
    • Monitor student progress and identify those who may require additional support or resources.
    • Collaborate with faculty to address student concerns and enhance the overall educational experience.
  8. Administrative Assistance:
    • Support the Director of Nursing and the Director of Education with various managerial and organizational tasks.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress, attendance, and program outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in student services, administrative, or educational roles is preferred. Experience in the healthcare or vocational education sector is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with learning new software.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
