Position Summary:
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing the strategic vision for Veritext's marketing and communication initiatives. This position is pivotal in enhancing brand recognition and driving market awareness. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic outlook, adept at crafting and communicating engaging narratives to diverse audiences, ensuring brand consistency, and utilizing market insights to establish Veritext as a leader in the industry while contributing to its growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Direction: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with Veritext's objectives and elevate our market presence.
- Brand Oversight: Manage the strategic evolution of the Veritext brand, ensuring it remains relevant and robust in a competitive landscape. Direct the ongoing development of the brand identity for consistency across all channels.
- Engagement Strategies: Tailor communication approaches to effectively engage various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, employees, and investors.
- Leadership Development: Mentor and lead a team of marketing and communication experts, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
- Public Relations: Lead public relations initiatives, including crafting key messages, collaborating with PR agencies for media placements, managing media inquiries, and building relationships with significant media outlets.
- Internal Communications: Spearhead programs and initiatives that enhance internal communication. Oversee the management of internal and external digital platforms, develop communication guidelines, and create communication tools that align with organizational goals.
- Market Research: Oversee the collection of primary and secondary market research to identify trends and understand client needs, informing product development and opportunities. Collaborate with technology and product management teams to refine Veritext's value propositions.
- Event Coordination: Play a key role in organizing and participating in various corporate events, including annual meetings, philanthropic activities, strategic sessions, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Acquisition Communication: Manage communication strategies for acquisitions, ensuring clear messaging to stakeholders to facilitate smooth transitions and alignment with Veritext's culture.
Team Management:
- Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance and mentorship while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Establish clear performance goals for the team and monitor progress, providing constructive feedback and conducting evaluations.
- Ensure effective resource allocation to maximize productivity while adhering to budget constraints.
- Engage in professional development initiatives that promote growth as a leader and support organizational learning.
- Act as an ambassador for key business priorities, translating objectives into actionable plans for the team.
- Promote a safe and inclusive workplace environment that aligns with company values.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of marketing experience, with significant leadership roles in senior marketing positions, ideally within the legal services sector.
- Proven track record in developing and executing strategic marketing plans that meet or exceed objectives.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring and developing high-performing marketing teams.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to convert market insights into actionable strategies.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of effectively conveying the company's vision and strategies to a diverse audience.
