Position Summary:
The Chief Executive Officer will guide the organization, ensuring the provision of exceptional services to individuals experiencing homelessness. This role encompasses the overall strategic, operational, and financial stewardship of the organization. The CEO will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners to further the organization's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals.
2. Provide visionary leadership to foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
Operations Management:
1. Oversee daily operations to guarantee effective service delivery.
2. Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, grants, and policies.
3. Manage shelter facilities to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for clients.
4. Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and manage the annual budget.
5. Ensure financial health through prudent fiscal management.
6. Supervise fundraising efforts, including grant writing and donor relations.
Program Development and Management:
1. Oversee the creation, implementation, and assessment of programs and services.
2. Ensure programs align with the organization's mission and address the needs of the homeless population.
3. Implement best practices in service delivery.
Community Engagement and Advocacy:
1. Act as the primary representative for the organization, engaging with the public and key stakeholders.
2. Cultivate relationships with community partners and government agencies.
3. Advocate for policies that support individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Board Relations:
1. Support the operations of the Board by advising members and facilitating communication between Board and staff.
2. Assist in evaluating Board members.
3. Participate in Board meetings and committees.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, business, or a related field.
2. Experience in a non-profit organization, particularly in homeless services or a related field.
Skills and Competencies:
1. Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
