Position Summary:

The Vice President of Marketing and Communications plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing the strategic vision for Veritext's marketing and communication initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Direction: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that align with Veritext's objectives and enhance market presence.
  • Brand Oversight: Manage the strategic evolution of the Veritext brand, ensuring its relevance and strength in a competitive landscape. Direct the consistency of brand identity across all channels.
  • Audience Engagement: Tailor communication strategies to effectively engage various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, employees, and investors.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of marketing and communication experts, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Public Relations: Drive public relations initiatives, including key messaging development, collaboration with PR firms for media placements, managing media inquiries, and building relationships with influential media outlets.
  • Internal Communications: Oversee programs and initiatives that enhance internal communication, manage company websites, develop communication protocols, and align communication strategies with organizational goals.
  • Market Research: Lead the collection of primary and secondary market research to identify trends and understand client needs, collaborating with product management to refine Veritext's value propositions.
  • Event Coordination: Contribute to the planning and execution of various company events, including annual meetings, philanthropic efforts, and employee engagement activities.
  • Acquisition Communication: Manage communication strategies for acquisitions, ensuring clear messaging to stakeholders to facilitate smooth transitions and alignment with Veritext's culture.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise a team of professionals, providing guidance and mentorship while promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Establish clear performance goals for the team, monitor progress, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation to maximize productivity within budget constraints.
  • Engage in professional development initiatives that promote growth as a leader.
  • Support organizational goals and serve as an ambassador for key business priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of marketing experience, with substantial leadership experience in a senior role, ideally within the legal services industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing strategic marketing plans that meet or exceed objectives.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate market data into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey the company's vision and strategies effectively.
