Position Overview

AlphaSights is in search of a motivated and resourceful individual to become a part of the IT Engineering team. The role of the IT Support Engineer is a prominent and valued opportunity for the right candidate to make an immediate impact within the San Francisco office.

The IT Engineering team is a rapidly expanding, driven group that offers significant growth potential and opportunities for individual distinction. We are looking for a team member who aspires to develop a comprehensive skill set as an IT generalist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot technical issues both in-person and remotely, including help desk operations and deskside support.
  • Configure and deploy Apple devices (via MDM solutions), VoIP telephones, hardware, and networking apparatus.
  • Implement, test, and monitor IT infrastructure to guarantee optimal performance, encompassing network and telephony systems.
  • Oversee projects and the rollout of new technologies.
  • Assist with office relocations, expansions, and densifications for both home and remote locations.
  • Maintain hardware for meeting rooms to facilitate conference calls and video conferencing.
  • Set up and manage user accounts and subscriptions.
  • Maintain the organization's IT hardware asset register, including monitoring and ordering stock.
  • Support both proprietary and third-party software applications.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues to ensure seamless integration for all transferees, visitors, and new employees.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in relevant roles (IT Generalist or Helpdesk in a corporate setting). Part-time experience will also be considered.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong understanding of Apple hardware and macOS/iOS.

Please note that this is primarily an office-based role with potential travel for offsite event support.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000, with 17 vacation days, 10 company holidays, and business closure during winter holiday week.
  • Coverage for up to 90% of medical premiums and 75% of dental and vision insurance premiums.
  • 401(k) match - 4% of total compensation matched dollar-for-dollar.
  • Option to work from home on Fridays.
