Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the continuous improvement of the CDE-R's semantic functionalities for the organization and retrieval of Common Data Elements (CDEs) by topic, disease area, and/or domain.

Collaborate with the CDE-R development team to create a comprehensive technical strategy and provide support for the implementation of automated or semi-automated assignment of standardized terminology concepts to CDEs.

Work alongside CDE-R software developers to troubleshoot data loading issues. Edit CDEs and Forms within the Repository to enhance interoperability and reuse.

Ensure alignment of CDEs with existing standards and terminologies, such as USCDI, LOINC, SNOMED CT, FHIR, etc.; monitor updates to standards to guarantee that modifications to terminology, value sets, and other standards are reflected in Repository content.

Investigate potential system enhancements that may include, but are not limited to, better alignment with external standards and initiatives. Improve standardized interfaces (APIs) to facilitate data exchange between systems, and explore connections to related systems, such as PubMed.

Engage in the design, development, and testing of APIs (or other systems) to share data and produce documentation for both internal and external stakeholders. Test enhancements of content management systems, search engines, public-facing websites, etc.

Assist NLM staff in evaluating and planning for the integration of information content from one system to another. Support the operation of data entry systems and publicly accessible databases. Conduct search engine development and

reports (e.g., usage statistics).

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree is required. A minimum of TWO (2) years of experience as a Systems Analyst with a focus on data curation. Familiarity with 508 compliance. Proficiency in statistical analysis using SAS, R, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in agile, waterfall, and hybrid project environments.

The annual salary range for this position is $75,800.00-$113,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
