Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the semantic functionalities of the CDE-R for the organization and retrieval of Common Data Elements (CDEs) by topic, disease area, and/or domain.
- Collaborate with the CDE-R development team to create a comprehensive technical strategy and provide support for the implementation of automated or semi-automated assignment of standardized terminology concepts to CDEs.
- Work alongside CDE-R software developers to troubleshoot issues related to data loads, ensuring that terminology, value sets, and other standards are accurately represented in the Repository content.
- Enhance standardized interfaces (APIs) to streamline data exchange between systems and investigate connections to related systems.
- Engage in the design, development, and testing of APIs or other systems for data sharing, while producing documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Test improvements in content management systems, search engines, and public-facing websites.
- Assist NLM staff in evaluating and planning the integration of information content across different systems.
- Support the operation of data entry systems and publicly accessible databases.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Systems Analyst with a focus on data curation.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis using tools such as SAS, R, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in agile, waterfall, and hybrid project environments.
