DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Credit Review team enhances the firm's independent risk management framework by conducting thorough evaluations and ongoing assessments of the loan and derivative portfolio's quality. This team also validates and scrutinizes Credit Risk ratings, methodologies, and processes, operating independently from Credit Risk functions and reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are in search of a highly qualified candidate to provide timely and effective evaluations and challenges to retail credit portfolios, encompassing residential mortgages, consumer loans, credit cards, student loans, and revolving credit. The successful candidate will lead the Credit Review team in executing independent risk assessments regarding the quality of risk management associated with retail credit exposure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Implementing a risk-based annual Retail Credit Review strategy and ongoing monitoring initiatives.
  • Evaluating the level of credit risk and the effectiveness of credit risk management practices.
  • Identifying potential credit risks, assessing their implications, and recommending procedural enhancements related to Credit Risk activities.
  • Leading credit reviews, preparing comprehensive reports, and facilitating discussions with Credit Risk stakeholders.
  • Utilizing analytical tools and techniques, including sampling and transactional testing, to effectively assess compliance with credit policies and identify risk trends.
  • Conducting portfolio monitoring and segment analysis through data analysis tools such as SQL and Tableau.
  • Ensuring that reviews and portfolio monitoring are completed within set timelines and in accordance with Credit Review policies.
  • Producing quantitative analyses and qualitative insights for Credit Risk, Firm, and Bank management.
  • Developing a continuous monitoring framework for all retail/consumer segments, utilizing key performance indicators to detect emerging risks.
  • Assessing Credit Risk Policies to ensure appropriate controls are established for effective credit risk management.
  • Participating in special projects and ad-hoc initiatives as required.
