Position Overview:
The Deputy Construction Project Manager plays a vital role in overseeing GSA & SDAC-led initiatives. This position encompasses the management of projects and alteration services, along with the necessary administrative responsibilities from the project's inception through to its completion.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both major and minor projects, including alteration services, by developing and overseeing budgets, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion. Supervise projects from the RFQ phase to final closeout.
  • Collaborate with the onsite team to provide insights and recommendations for building enhancements.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on design intent drawings, as-built drawings, and assist with cost estimation.
  • Draft bid specifications for one-time maintenance tasks, including roofing, asphalt and concrete repairs, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in construction coordination.
  • Proficient in reviewing and providing feedback on Design Intent Drawings, As-Built Drawings, and cost estimation.
  • Skilled in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong project management, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Capable of performing under pressure and meeting deadlines.
