Project Management Assistant

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE.
We are currently in search of a Project Management Assistant for a Luxury Residential Construction Firm. The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or possess equivalent relevant experience. A minimum of 1 year of experience as an APM in high-end residential construction in NYC is essential.
Key Responsibilities of the Project Management Assistant - Luxury Residential Construction:
- Develop comprehensive weekly and biweekly project timelines.
- Maintain daily project logs.
- Oversee RFIs (Requests for Information) and RFPs (Requests for Proposals), submittals, and manage all incoming and outgoing documentation, including change orders.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure clarity in project scope, objectives, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timelines.
- Establish project schedules with specific tasks and deadlines.
- Address and resolve issues that arise throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all changes to project scope are documented and approved via change request forms.
- Monitor and report on project milestones, providing updates to management.
- Maintain a project tracking spreadsheet for ongoing oversight.
- Develop and implement tools and best practices for effective project management and execution.
- Ensure timely storage and tracking of all project documentation.
- Proactively identify project challenges and propose solutions to meet productivity, quality, and financial objectives.
- Participate in client meetings as necessary and document meeting minutes.
Qualifications for the Project Management Assistant - Luxury Residential Construction:
- Candidates must possess a solid understanding of construction industry principles and terminology, along with the ability to interpret drawings.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as an APM in high-end residential construction in NYC is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- Must be a collaborative team player who works well with others.
