Overview:
The primary role of a Senior IT Project Coordinator is to manage the implementation of project management principles throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. This includes responsibilities such as project design, scope management, budget oversight, and quality assurance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulates, monitors, and oversees project budgets, timelines, and scopes.
  • Directs project resources, including recruiting project personnel, fostering development, and providing guidance.
  • Collaborates closely with cross-functional project teams to clarify business requirements.
  • Guides teams of developers in delivering high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Establishes testing protocols to ensure products are free of defects prior to User Acceptance Testing.
  • Facilitates the User Acceptance Testing process, creating deployment strategies and procedures.
  • Conducts and presents cost-benefit analyses.
  • Ensures adherence to established systems development and project management methodologies.
  • Delivers presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
  • Creates a project management framework to structure project execution.
  • Engages with departmental liaisons to identify and clarify project requirements.
  • Drafts project proposals and documentation, outlining the complete scope of work, timelines, assumptions, and budget considerations.
  • Acts as the primary liaison for IT managed services projects.
  • Monitors project performance and generates status reports.
  • Coordinates efforts with internal teams to effectively communicate tasks and deadlines, fostering positive relationships with other staff and consultants.
  • Collaborates with internal resources and external vendors for project execution.
  • Prepares meeting agendas and leads discussions.
  • Ensures resource availability and proper allocation.
  • Evaluates project performance using appropriate metrics and techniques.
  • Manages relationships with departments and stakeholders.
  • Implements risk management strategies to mitigate project risks.
  • Creates and maintains thorough project documentation.
  • Develops spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to illustrate project progress.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is required.
  • PMP or PMI certification with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise.
  • Strong people management and team-building capabilities.
  • Proven adaptability and judgment in dynamic environments with competing priorities.
  • Ability to quickly grasp business processes and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Strong risk assessment skills and application of management principles to technology solutions and business functions.
  • Experience in delivering technology and business application solutions within large-scale, multi-platform environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with all stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technology, including infrastructure, networking, and applications.
