Overview:
Gray is actively seeking a skilled Project Engineer to enhance our Commercial Construction team. This role is essential for ensuring project success through meticulous organization and a commitment to quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to review and prioritize action items.
- Maintain an organized task list to ensure timely completion of project objectives.
- Engage with the Superintendent to discuss daily action items.
- Manage documentation including safety plans and meeting notes, ensuring both hard and electronic copies are maintained.
- Facilitate communication between the Project Manager and Superintendent on a daily basis.
- Review and confirm the acceptability of RFIs and submittals from subcontractors before forwarding to consultants.
- Utilize Timberline for managing RFIs and submittals, ensuring all project documentation is up to date.
- Distribute relevant project communications to subcontractors to keep them informed.
- Track and update material procurement logs in alignment with the project schedule.
- Organize and maintain all project documentation and filing systems.
- Prepare and manage punch lists and ensure all closeout documents are collected and submitted to the owner upon project completion.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction management, engineering, or architecture.
- Proficiency in Timberline or similar project management software.
- Experience in commercial, retail, and restaurant construction projects.
Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic mathematical skills for project management.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based with a moderate noise level and controlled temperature. Occasional overtime may be required.
