Position Overview:
The Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in utilizing mechanical expertise to address the operational needs of the branch in a professional, safe, and timely manner. This position is essential for maintaining all equipment in optimal working condition through a proactive maintenance strategy and a comprehensive repair schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold a regular schedule for preventative maintenance on all company-owned equipment at customer job sites.
  • Conduct oil changes, equipment lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and various other services.
  • Diagnose and repair heavy machinery to ensure proper functionality at job sites.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
  • Recondition and replace parts to restore equipment to safe operating conditions.
  • Educate clients on the proper usage of equipment to prevent future malfunctions.
  • Analyze equipment for wear and tear and address issues to ensure proper usage until the next scheduled maintenance.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols at active job sites.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area on-site.
  • Produce detailed service reports and repair logs in a timely manner.
  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Professional Experience:
Ability to interpret detailed technical schematics, owner manuals, and product warning labels. Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to perform most repairs and services. Capability to operate and test various equipment including boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulics, pumps, and assorted tools.

Skills Required:
Proficient in operating multiple types of vehicles and equipment. Strong customer service skills for effective communication with job site foremen. Attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to changing needs on-site. Solid written and verbal communication skills, along with basic computer operation skills.

Compensation Information:
Hourly rate of $42.44, based on experience.
