Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electric forklifts and other equipment.
  • Service liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, along with electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, and lifting systems.
  • Rebuild and repair all necessary components and systems.
  • Safely block, chock, and chain equipment, disassembling as required for major repairs.
  • Conduct routine and operational maintenance on all equipment as per manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis effectively.
  • Carry out equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Execute basic welding tasks when necessary.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities, completing all required paperwork promptly.
  • Engage in both basic and advanced technical training as assigned.
  • Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies essential for job completion.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the work area and uphold a safe working environment.
  • Foster a culture of safety and actively participate in safety meetings.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of equipment and operations relevant to the branch.
  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
Experience and Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
  • Mechanical or trade school certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in forklift repair or a related field.
  • Ability to interpret precision instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
