Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician 1 to join our team in Juneau, Alaska. As a key member of our Division of Investments, you will play a critical role in administering and servicing several loan programs under the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer-focused service to internal and external customers, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and account structure changes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Customer Service team to deliver results-driven solutions, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Process incoming cash, financial transactions, and account structure changes within the Division's subsidiary loan processing system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience.
  • Post-secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month).
